Taiwan Mobile, Nokia Ink NT$4.8bln 3G Equipment Deal

Taiwan Mobile, a Taiwanese leading telecom, announced on December 13 that it has entered a procurement agreement with Finnish Nokia. Under the tie-up, Taiwan Mobile will spend approximately NT$4.8 billion (US$147.3 million; US$1 = NT$ 32.6) to acquire 3G equipment from Nokia during 2007-2009, with an initial order of NT$372 million (US$11.4 million).
